An 8-hectare organic farm and ecological training center in the Ourika Valley, near Marrakech, was founded in 2014 by Kenza Isnasni, an environmental activist who was the first to practice permaculture in Morocco. The aim was to create a farm capable of reviving ancient cultivation methods in semi-arid climates without the use of pesticides. The farm employs 2 full-time workers and relies on a network of over 100 local collaborators, mainly women.The project addresses some of the major issues of our time, such as environmental health, human health, and intercultural understanding, transforming an arid and damaged landscape into a peaceful refuge for families, guests, and communities—a space that promotes a sustainable lifestyle and produces high-quality products. The goal is also to inspire others to do the same through workshop programs (for example, agroecology workshops), creating a model that can be independently replicated throughout Morocco.

The farm is also a research site where observations and experiments are documented and made available as open-source resources for the global community, as well as shared during specialized agricultural management courses. It produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed, and black olives, as well as fresh, nutrient-rich organic fruits and vegetables, animal products, and aromatic and medicinal plants. Marrakech Organics has been a pioneer in introducing international Permaculture Design Courses (PDC), summer environmental education programs, farm internships, and workshops focused on well-being and sustainability.
